Litter of Two

For this litter I imported the frozen semen of U-Ch Am/Can Ch U-CD LaMoyne's Cordially Yours CD PT HS TT
(pictures below).
I chose Cory for many reasons. I wanted an old American lined groenendael with a good temperament,
structure, and working ability, and I also wanted something unique to improve the steadily declining gene pool
in our breed. I decided that frozen semen was a good route -- after all, I know exactly how long Cory lived, what
he died of, and what he produced. Cory passed away due to old age just a couple weeks short of 14 years of
age, and produced some very talented working dogs with limited health issues. His temperament seemed to
compliment Visa's well -- he was easygoing, outgoing and stable.
So, after importing the semen and storing it, I spent a great deal of time and money on progesterone testing
and a surgical artifical insemination. Visa added insult to injury by needing a c-section. The repro vet said that
because she was older, and went through so many heats without being bred, her uterus was weak, and a small
litter requires stronger contractions than her uterus was able to provide. I might as well have called it my
Bankruptcy Litter, as I lost thousands of dollars, and didn't sell either pup. Kira went to Stephanie Price (Aleika
Belgians) as a stud fee pup, and Tandem stayed here with me. Stephanie graciously offered to give me a puppy
out of Kira one day and I'm very excited.
I'm very happy with the results of this litter. I got two very sweet puppies with beautiful structure, movement,
and good potential for performance sports.
